Most online retailers use a type of marketing called 're-targeting'. The goal of 're-targeting' is to give you the most relevant ad content based on what you've browsed throughout your online activity. You can opt-out by clicking on the blue 'AdChoices' arrow in the upper left of the ads you wish to remove, or go to to opt-out of targeted ads from and most other sites. Please note that this won’t get rid of banner ads, they will just become more generic.
